Knit-Along: Cover Cowl

Tejijuntas: Cuello de Portada

Vickie Howell (from Stitch.Love.Rock) organized a Knit-along (KAL) in Ravelry and Facebook.  She invited us to knit her Cover Cowl, called like this because it just appeared in the cover of the magazine KNITSIMPLE.
(ESP) Vickie Howell (de Stitch.Love.Rock) organizó un “tejijuntas” en Ravelry y Facebook.  Ella nos invitó a tejer el “Cuello de Portada”, llamado así porque apareció en la portada de la revista KNITSIMPLE.

These cowls are too cute! Who would resist?  I could not, so I joined in and I am knitting one in Moss Green Alpaca.  I will be showing here my progress:
(ESP) Estos cuellos son soñados.  ¿Quién podría resistirse?  Yo no pude , así que me uní y estoy haciendo uno.  Aquí les estaré mostrando mi progreso:

I finished my cowl. It did not come out as wide as it should be, because I used a finer yarn. Also made 14 rows for the cable pattern to compensate. Still…I love it. Instead of buttons, I used a hand-made wooden brooch with pin.
(ESP) Finalmente terminé el cuello.  No me salió tan ancho como el original, debido a que usé una lana más fina.  Para compensar en el largo, hice las trenzas en patrones de 14 hileras (en lugar de 10).  Aun así, me gustó mucho el resultado.  En lugar de los botones, usé un broche de madera hecho a mano. 

Yarn and needle: double strand of Peruvian alpaca (finer than sheepish), color moss green, 7mm needles.
Lana y Agujas: Ya que aquí no venden la lana Sheep(ish), yo decidí usar una verde musgo de Alpaca peruana, con agujas 7mm.
