FROM THE TOP DOWN

DEL CUELLO PARA ABAJO


I have been doing crochet baby cardigans for a while...for Boys and for Girls.  They are made from the top down.  And I thought…Why not try to make one in an adult size?  So I made two, with short sleeves:  one for my grandma (in Cream), and one for me (in Aqua).  There was a lot of trial and error and improvisation, but they came out ok, though I am sure there is always room for improvement…

Desde hace algún tiempo he estado hacienda suéteres de ganchillo…para Niños y para Niñas.  Éstos se hacen del cuello para abajo.  Y pensé…¿Por qué no probar hacer uno, pero en talla de adulto?  Así que hice dos, con mangas cortas: uno para mi abuela (en color crema), y otro para mí (en color aqua).  El proceso fue de prueba y error y mucha improvisación, pero estoy contenta con el resultado, aunque sé que podría mejorarse…

a.  TOP-DOWN in Aqua

I just love this color…it reminds me of the ocean and white sand beaches.

Me gusta tanto este color…me recuerda al mar y playas blancas. 

Yarn (Lana):  Fingering Cotton (Algodón), in color Aqua

Hook: 4 mm

b.  TOP-DOWN in Cream

This has a zigzag pattern form the waist down.  The Aqua is open, with a V-neck, but this Cream one is closed in the front, with three buttons.

Usé una puntada tipo zig-zag desde la cintura para abajo.  Mientras que el otro es abierto con un cuello en “V”, éste es cerrado al frente, con tres botones. 

Yarn (Lana):  Caron Simply Soft, in Off-white

Hook (Gancho): 5 mm
